IF LIFE WAS EASY, WHERE WOULD ALL THE ADVENTURE BE?

Friday's Favorites

1.  Will I ever tire of seeing wedding pictures?  Unlikely.  This picture gives you a glimpse of the amazingly romantic setting they had for the wedding.  Perfect.

2.  Home from the honeymoon and to mom's house for dinner.  Since it was grandma's last night in town, the newlyweds agreed to come to our house for dinner the day after they returned from Hawaii.  It was great to see them and to see them happily in love!

3.  Feijoada- Brazilian Black Bean Stew.  I roughly followed this recipe, using lime instead of orange and I made mine in the crock pot.  Mine was good, but the same dish in Brazil is MUCH better :)  Keep this dish in mind for the next Olympics.  This (and sweet, strong coffee) is what fuels the amazing Brazilian soccer players.

4.  A slower pace.  The past month leading up to the wedding has been pretty fast paced.  Now that all the company is gone and the wedding is over, its a little more relaxed around my house.

5.  Speccio's for dinner.  One of our Groupon's to another amazing place with in walking distance of my house.  Homemade Mushroom Ravioli was our favorite dish.  Bob enjoyed the old Italian movie being shown on the wall (without sound)- a Sophia Loren classic.

BONUS:  Cats!  They kept me entertained the other night playing in our laundry basket:

What a gorgeous wedding picture!! Your daughter is so beautiful!

I've been through 4 family weddings - all boys. my daughter is still to go. The boys' weddings were busy but I have a feeling the girl's wedding will be even busier! :) I'm amazed you're posting!

Glad you have time to relax and enjoy all the wonderful memories.

Tire of wedding photos??? We want to see more! That shot is absolutely stunning. Your slower weeks sounds lovely. And cats are the best entertainers, aren't they?

Oh wow -- I guess I had missed you the last week or two! I didn't know the wedding had taken place. What a lovely photo, and the pics from the post below are great, too. Isn't nice to have it over with and have all the lovely memories to replace the work and busyness? We've only had one son marry so far, and that first week afterward was blissful (for us -- I am sure for them, too. :-) )

What a gorgeous wedding photo!

I'm all for a slower paced life, too. I'm sure you're enjoying it - along with all those great memories of the wedding.

Wow, so much has happened since I was gone during September! Congratulations to your daughter and son-in-law! How well I know the frantic pace leading up to the wedding. I've married off one son and two daughters. Two of the weddings occurred six weeks apart in two different states from where we were living AND we moved homes during those six weeks! BUT. I wouldn't trade any of those memories for anything!

Thanks for the sweet kitty photos. I love them!

Beautiful view at the wedding! Love the picture of the bride and groom with the view in the background.

I've been wondering if the groupon coupon restaurants are good. Unfortunately my groupon usually only has restaurants in the big city so I've sorta been leary. I'd hate to go and get a dud of a restaurant when we could have gone to something tried and true when on a trip.
