This has been a pretty amazing week in San Francisco because the SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS ARE AT THE WORLD SERIES!!!! More on that later. I know you want to see another wedding picture, so here goes:
My fun-loving daughter had the entire wedding party do the Gangnam style dance as their entrance into the reception. It was a great way to get everyone smiling and happy. And, as you can see, the groom really got into it :)
Ahh, Delphina. She is becoming more affectionate by the day. Such a precious kitty to keep me company!
Bob's Cooking! He is getting really good at cooking since I've been working more. This recipe made with Trader Joe's Organic red quinoa is amazing. I found a blog that posted the recipe here.
For Bob's birthday we went to Bob's Donuts, where the woman behind the counter scolded me loudly for 1) using a coupon 2) Not knowing the right names of the donuts and 3) Asking for a bag. San Francisco now charges 10 cents for bags at any stores, so many stores have simply stopped carrying them (yes, even the grocery store and fast food places MUST charge 10 cents for every bag). But it was kind of funny. Apparently she is legendary for her scoldings.
Acupuncture. See that little band-aid on my ear? It has a little needle in it that cured my headache. Long story that I can't tell with out violating someone else's privacy, but a kind Indian doctor helped me out with this on a long stressful day. I need to figure out a way to make this happen intentionally rather than just randomly like today.
There is no Walmart in San Francisco but they are doing a pilot project of offering free delivery of groceries to San Francisco residents. My first order arrives tonight and I'm pretty excited about it. Working as much as much as I do, the idea of buying groceries on-line and having them delivered for free is VERY attractive!
Ok, now for the really, really fun and important part of the week. The part that has the entire city consumed, that keeps my neighbors up at night and has strangers high-fiving each other on the street.
SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS!!!
It's hard to believe they are at the World Series again! In their honor (and maybe pressured a little by the girls at the salon), I painted my nails orange and black. I am also wearing my orange scarf every day and we are eating enchiladas as often as possible because apparently, that is the good luck food for the Giants this year :) I could go on and on with the trivia, but I think you get the idea, we are having a lot of fun here.
And for those of you who are following the team, I leave you with this silly cartoon:

I've wanted to try acupuncture to see if it will help with my asthma. So glad that it cured your headache, Brenda!
You look very festive with orange and black nails. I should have been eating enchiladas in honor of our team. I will start tomorrow. Anything to help!
What is the Gangnam style dance? It does look fun. Maybe Google will give me a clue.
Your daughter really is fun loving. NEVER would have thought of such an entrance....hahaha That song really is a hit, even here at the end of the world. lol
I'm following the "other" team seeing that I am from Michigan. May the best team win!!
Your week sounds like it has been full of big smiles. And, again, great photos of the wedding! Aren't lovey cats just the best? Funny that you have a favorite recipe with that red quinoa -- I just picked up some this past week. Haven't decided what to try yet. And, yes, I've seen the gluten-free brownie mix at TJ's. It just so happened that it was late in the evening when roomie had a hankering for some and I had all the ingredients to make a batch from scratch. But maybe I should keep a box mix for emergencies :-)
Free grocery delivery? Sounds wonderful! Your cartoon is SO funny. It's always such fun when the city gets involved. We love our basketball -- our Miami Heat. Our Marlins? Not so much!
Have a great week ahead.
Hi Brenda! I haven't had time to read your blog for awhile and came at a good time! So glad to know that the wedding was a blast and that you have such a wonderful son-in-law. Congrats! It's so funny that you got scolded for a coupon--why do them have them then!? :) I'm surprised that there's no Walmart in SF. I do agree that free delivery must a wonderful! Have fun and have a great week!
LOL, that joke at the end was cute.
Your daughter's wedding looks like it was so much fun. Good for the wedding party for going along.
Glad the acupuncture helped your headache!
